Commentary from Pope Benedict XVI

In an interview at Fatima, Pope Benedict XVI (then Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger) spoke about visions and apparitions: "To all curious people, I would say I am certain that the Virgin does not engage in sensationalism; she does not act in order to instigate fear. She does not present apocalyptic visions, but guides people to her Son. And this is what is essential."He continued, "The Madonna did not appear to children, to the small, to the simple, to those unknown in the world in order to create a sensation." Mary's purpose "is, through these simple ones, to call the world back to simplicity, that is, to the essentials: conversion, prayer, and the sacraments."

Daily Novena to Our Lady, Mary Mediatrix of All Grace

Recite with devotion and fervor five decades of the Rosary mediatating on the Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful or Glorious mysteries as the Blessed Virgin asked at Fatima, then say:

V.Incline unto my aid, O Lord
R. Lord make haste to help me.
V.Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.
R.As it was in the beginning is now and will be forever.Amen.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary that never was it known that any one who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, and sought thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of Virgins my Mother, to thee I come; before thee I stand sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy hear and answer me.
We fly to thy patronage, O Holy Mother of God; despise not our petitions in our necessities, but deliver us always from all dangers, O Glorious and Blessed Virgin.

Recite Three times the Hail Mary and the Glory Be.
Remember us, O Virgin Mother of God, in the presence of the Lord, and do thou speak in our favor so that His wrath may be averted from us.

V. Our most powerful Mediatrix, pray for us.
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

PRAYER
O Lord Jesus Christ, our Mediator with the Father, who has appointed the Most Blessed Virgin, Thy Mother to be our Mother also and our Mediatrix before Thee; grant that whoever draw near to thee to beseech any benefit, may recieve all things through Her and rejoice, who lives and reigns with God the Father and the Holy spirit forever and ever. Amen.

O Mary, Most Holy and Immaculate Mother of God, of Jesus, our Victim-High Priest, True Prophet, and Soveriegn King, I come to you as the Mediatrix of All Grace, for that is truly what you are. O Fountain of all grace! O fairest of roses! Most pure spring! Unsullied channel of all God's grace! Recieve me, Most Holy Mother! Present me and my every need to the Most Holy Trinity! That having been made pure and holy in His sight through your hands, they may return to me, through you as graces and blessing. I give and consecrate myself to you, Mary Mediatrix of All Grace, that Jesus our One True Mediator, who is the King of All Nations, may reign in every heart. Amen.
